Total Craigroyston Community Events
Total Craigroyston is an initiative working to bring services within the neighbourhood together to improve things for children, young people and families in the neighbourhood. We want the views of as many people as possible to influence what we are doing.
There are three events coming up for local people to be involved in. These are:
Design Session Monday 28th May 9.30 – 12.30 Craigroyston Community High School
This is for anyone with an interest in local services and how they work. Join in a workshop that will identify what is working well and where changes could be made to improve things.
The session is open to all local people and a crèche is available but a space must be booked.
Please contact Stephen Straiton – 0131 469 3375 or stephen.straiton@edinburgh.gov.uk
Prototyping Lab Monday 18th June 10.00 – 4.00 West Pilton Neighbourhood Centre
This is for local people and local staff to hear the ideas that have been generated in the discussion and will give us a chance to think about which ones we can take forward.
The session is open to all local people and a crèche is available but a space must be booked.
Please contact Stephen Straiton – 0131 469 3375 or stephen.straiton@edinburgh.gov.uk

Art and Dance for children every Saturday

North Edinburgh Arts runs a successful Saturday arts programme for children of all ages.
For 5 to 8 year olds, and 8 to 12 year olds we have two sessions of arts & crafts and dance. Parents are welcome to enjoy a cuppa in our cafe while the kids are having fun or drop-off their children and return after the session. Children who attend both sessions; art and dance, will be given a healthy snack during their supervised break.
Families with under 5’s can take part in our Create programme, offering children and grown ups the chance to enjoy creative play, art, music and movement together, led by our team of experienced artists.
If you would like more information please contact Box Office on 0131 315 2151 or check the website for full details.
Create for under 5s every Thursday & Saturday
The Create project provides quality art-making experiences for parents and carers that engage them in active play with their children aged 0-5. Delivered two mornings a week, Thursdays and Saturdays, the project provides active and creative childhood experiences for both the children and the adults. The Create Project provides the resources, ideas, guidance and creative inspiration for a range of activities that can often be replicated at home using recycled, cheap and easily obtainable materials. Create, supported Lloyds TSB Foundation and BBC Children in Need, takes place from 10am every Thursday and Saturday morning 10am – 12noon.
Families with children aged 0 - 5 are very welcome to drop-in.
